Matilija Lending Library is a community bookstore and gathering space in El Monte, California. We carry a curated selection of new titles, used books, postcards, greeting cards, stickers, art, and other goods that reflect the diverse communities and stories of the San Gabriel Valley.

Every purchase helps support Matilija Lending Library’s operational costs, including fees, utilities, supplies, and rent. Your support also helps sustain our free community programming, workshops, cultural events, exhibits, and advocacy efforts alongside Matilija Collective and SGV Progressive Action.
